They are cross-country cycling and kite racing on Imandra lake in Murmask region, alpinism in Altai, Elbrus adventure and climbing tours in Kislovodsk region, mountain hiking tours and whitewater and waterfall rafting in Vladivostok region, canoeing, rafting and parachute jumping in Sochi and even cycling tours through Yakutia. Some companies sometimes choose extreme activity tours as team-building exercise for their staff. Employed people quite rarely have a habit of eating lunch out every day, but most often bring packed container with home food or have company paid lunches (rarely). There are ice arenas in Ukraine yet in more limited choice. All major Ukrainian cities have outdoor and indoor both natural and artificial skating arenas. A new open-air temporary municipal rink in Kiev on the city's main square - Maidan Nezalezhnosti is going to operate for the 4th winter already. One can rent skates there for 25 Hryvnas per hour. The rink will stay open until the beginning of March with the capability of functioning without freezing temperatures outside. The number of homeschoolers in Russia has tripled since 1994 to approximately 1 million. In most cases it is explained by the dissatisfaction with the schools systems, teaching and learning standards, the school environment and due to personal beliefs. Almost all parents that homeschool their children in Russia are convinced that this is the best way a child has to be educated as a child studies in his own pace in a peaceful and calm atmosphere, generally feels healthier and more relaxed. Russian schoolchildren have 3 months summer Holidays and thus summer childcare options for working parents is a pressing question. According to May 2011 poll the considerable part of Russian children (42%) was going to stay at home for summer holidays. Dacha was the Holiday option for 18% of children. During the Soviet times children would set off to leafy communist pioneer camps. Now the pioneer camps transformed into children’s activity summer camps and are hardly affordable for the majority of Russian families. In present day the number of Russian families planning to send a child to such camp makes 12% (2011). 9% of children were supposed to spent holiday on the Black Seas shores of the Crimea and Caucasus. 8% of Russian parents said they would take children to travel together abroad (5%) or inside CIS (3%). 6% of Russians planned to send them to the relatives inside Russia. Rollerblading is probably most affordable mass outdoor activity that enjoys high popularity in Russia now. Parks, embankments and pedestrian zones are most regular practicing places for rollerbladers and rollerskaters. Skating in Gorky Park, Victory park and the park adjacent to the Exhibition of Economic Achievements, the hills around Moscow University in Moscow is the real treat. Victory Seaside Park on Krestovsky island is the best place for roller skating in St-Petersburg because of its lovely tree-lined roads and beautiful views across the Baltic Sea. Indoor rollerblading rinks providing instruction,roller blades, roller skates and gear are available in Russia's big cities.
