You know that the majority of the population in the FSU is Orthodox that is a branch of Christianity. But that knowledge can be also quite misleading. Most of the women from former SU are much less religious than the ones from America or Western Europe. Even if they call themselves Christians that can mean only that they were baptized in childhood and that they celebrate religious holidays such as Easter or Christmas. In the countries that are close to Europe especially where Catholic Church plays an important role even young people are more religious.
